Maker of portable audio devices unveils a set of headphones which use Bluetooth technology for wireless listening as well as a port for connecting wired audio.

Creative Technology last week unveiled new wireless headphones which use both Bluetooth and proprietary "dual mode" technologies to deliver a wired/wireless listening option. The new SL3100 Wireless Headphones are priced at $129 and should be available now in Singapore.

The SL3100 Wireless Headphones, said Creative, are equipped with an audio transmitter that works wirelessly via Bluetooth technology up to 10m away. The headphones can also be operated in wired mode via "dual mode" technology which allows one to attach a bundled audio cable attached to an audio source into a port on the headphones. An integrated, rechargeable lithium-ion battery allows for up to eight hours of playback time between charges.

Other features of the SL3100 Wireless Headphones include support for Bluetooth profiles which help reduce wireless static interference, built-in volume and track controls, 40mm neodymium transducers, an audio sampling rate of 48kHz, two types of interchangeable ear cushions and a behind-the-ear design.
