Dell announced today a new portable 20" widescreen entertainment PC which they say is a new breed of technology for portable entertainment or productivity. The new XPS M2010 starts at $3,500 and looks to be available now.

The XPS M2010, said Dell, was first introduced by Michael Dell as a mobile concept at the 2006 Consumer Electronics Show. The computer, which sports a unique design, appears when closed to be a black leather-like case with an anodized aluminum carrying handle (which double as articulating hinges supporting the display). When opened, it reveals a 20.1" high definition display and detachable, full sized Bluetooth wireless keyboard. It also sports eight speakers plus a subwoofer, a gyroscope-enabled remote, a 1.3 megapixel webcam and a slot-load DVD drive.

Other features of the XPS M2010, depending upon configuration, can include Intel Core Duo processors, ATI Mobility Radeon X1800 graphics, 12-cell battery, 802.11 wireless, integrated 13-in-2 media card reader, Microsoft Windows XP Media Center Edition 2005, dual hard drive configuration and up to 4GB dual channel DDR2 memory.
