Dell Offers Up XPS Ultraportable Laptop

The new XPS M1210 sports a 12.1" widescreen display and weighs around 4.4 pounds, among other features.

Dell, as part of a XPS product roll out today, showed off a new ultra-mobile notebook computer. The new XPS M1210 starts at $1,300 and looks to be available now.

The XPS M1210, said Dell, starts at 4.37 pounds, has a durable magnesium alloy frame and sports a 12.1" widescreen display. The laptop runs off of Intel Core Duo processors and optional 256MB Nvidia GeForce Go 7400 TurboCache graphics. Optimized for entertainment on the go, this small computer also has an optional choice of embedded mobile broadband wireless connectivity with either Cingular or Verizon Wireless.

Other features of the XPS M1210 include an integrated webcam; one-button access to videos, music or photos; an integrated 5-in-1 media card reader; Microsoft Windows XP Media Center Edition 2005; four USB 2.0 ports; and up to 2GB dual-channel DDR2 memory.
