Salesforce.com has been giving a bad name to software-as-a-service with it's historically known system failures and now with breach of security of customer records. Being the largest vendor in the space gets them most of the publicity and therefore they are hearting the model and the other competitors such as Salesboom.com, Netsuite and RightNow with such misconduct.
