With seven million copies sold since its November launch, Call of Duty 4 is the best-selling game of 2007.
2007 was a bumper year for video games. Halo 3 broke all records for entertainment by earning over $170 in its first 24 hours. But even Halo couldn’t touch Call of Duty 4. Released in November, it sold a staggering seven million copies before the year’s end to become the best-selling game of 2007, the BBC reports.
Published by Activision, it’s already win Best Action Game at E3 and two awards from Spike TV, telling the story of allied Special Forces in the Middle East and Russia.
"We're very excited about this achievement especially given so many competitive titles this year," said Activision’s Will Kassoy.
