NME Joins MSN Music

February 04, 2008 | by Christopher Nickson

MSN Music has signed a deal with music weekly NME to run news and reviews.

For decades, British music lovers have eagerly grabbed copies of the weekly paper New Musical Express (NME). It was at the height of its powers during punk, but in a new, glossier format, remains the foremost weekly publication for those interested in music, and still widely influential.

For those music fans around the globe who can’t easily put their hands on copies, there’s good news. NME’s website has signed a syndication deal with MSN Music that will see the site adding daily news and reviews, as well as interviews, videos, and ticket sales, according to a story on Vnunet.

Mike Lok, manager of MSN Music, said,

"Our new partnership with NME.com will offer even richer content on MSN Music and ensure that it is a key destination for all serious music fans."
