Vista SP1 Now An Auto Download

Microsoft released Windows Vista Service Pack 1 to its automatic download service yesterday.

If you have a PC running Windows Vista and your automatic download on, you could possibly already have got the long-awaited Windows Vista Service Pack1 on your machine. Microsoft released it to the service yesterday in English, French, German, Spanish, and Japanese versions.

However, as the company plans a gradual release of SP1, so those who want to be certain they get it quickly will have to download it themselves from the Microsoft site. Otherwise, according to the company official Vista blogger,

"We'll be distributing the service pack slowly so that we can help Windows users have a good experience."

Microsoft has already admitted that SP1 won’t install some drivers properly. Unfortunately, one of them happens to be for an Intel chipset that’s on many PCs. And Information Week has reported that software research company NeoSmart has discovered that SP1 can crash Adobe Audition audio production software.
