ZoneAlarm Unleashes Force Field

The computer security company has released its Force Field virtual user plug-in that can deflect web attacks, and is destroyed at the end of each session.

It’s certainly a clever idea. Computer security company Zone Alarm has come up with Force Field, a plug-in that creates a virtual user when a user goes online, with that virtual user destroyed at the end of the session. It protects the real web browser by deflecting all attacks from malicious sites, phishers, key loggers and others that can install malware. Once the session ends, the virtualized file system, including any malware, is simply destroyed.

It’s currently only available for PCs running Windows XP or Vista, and Zone Alarm claims it will work in co-ordination with other security products.
