Apple Store Opening In Beijing

As Apple prepares to launch the iPhone in China, news is that Beijing will also get China's first Apple store.
Steve Jobs has said that he expects to launch the iPhone in China later this year. It will probably be with operator China Unicorn, which has been granted a 3GWCDMA license from the government. Apple had been in talks with the country’s biggest mobile operator, China Mobile, but they broke down.
And now it seems probably that the handset will be available through a shiny new Apple store in Beijing. One of Apple’s licensed dealers in the country told news agency Sina that the company plans to open its store in central Beijing, 1,000 square meters spread across three floors in a shopping center and office development. Although no opening date was given, it’s thought it might be in July or August.
