Microsoft will be issuing 12 fixes on August's Patch Tuesday, seven of then deemed critical.
After a very quiet July, when Microsoft’s monthly Patch Tuesday didn’t include a single critical bulletin, urgent is back with a bang. The company has said that tomorrow’s security update will contain a total of 12 fixes, seven of them rated as critical.
Four of those seven deal with issues in Microsoft Office, a fifth with a vulnerability in Internet Explorer, the sixth Windows Media Player, and the last with flaws in Winsows XP, 2000 and Server 2003.
The other five patches are all classed as important and address flaws and vulnerabilities in Windows, Office, Outlook Express and Windows Messenger.
