Impact Vest to Support World of Warcraft

October 02, 2008 | by Nick Mokey

TN Games' 3rd Space Vest, which mimics in-game effects in real life, will now support World of Warcraft.

As if carpal tunnel syndrome and loss of social life weren’t punishment enough for addicted World of Warcraft players, the makers of a vest that mimics in-game effects with real force on the body have announced that it now supports the RPG. The TN Games 3rd Space vest will allow WoW players to feel damage and other effects to their characters as physical impacts.

“Imagine actually feeling all the traditional impact effects of kicks, punches and blasts, plus environmental effects such as wind force and lightning strikes, as well as important RPG aspects like the effect of magic spells directly on your body as it happens,” said TN Games CEO Dr. Mark Ombrellaro.

Other titles supporting the vest primarily include first person shooters, such as Call of Duty 2, BioShock, and Quake 4.

TN Games will demonstrate the new WoW support for its vest at this year’s E for All Expo, which takes place in Los Angeles from Oct. 3 through Oct. 5.
