Microsoft, GoDaddy Team For Mail Service
October 07, 2008 | by Christopher Nickson
Microsoft has teamed with GoDaddy to launch a mail service aimed at small and medium-sized businesses.
Hosting service GoDaddy has teamed up with the big boy, Microsoft, to launch a new mail service directed at small and medium-size businesses (SMB) and based on Outlook and Exchange Server 2007 code.
The idea will be to capture customers who want to manage a number of e-mail accounts from a single source, and will include hosted and shareable calendars and address books.
GoDaddy founder and chief executive Bob Parsons was frank about his ambitions for the service:
"Our goal is to be a one-stop shop for every customer. We have many customers who currently use Microsoft Office Outlook for their e-mail. It was only natural that we expanded our offerings to include mobile and group e-mail plans with Microsoft Outlook."
