A new Yahoo site is appropriately timed to deliver bargains — and they've signed up some major names.

With economic times growing tight and the holidays fast approaching, everyone is looking for a bargain. And that makes it a perfect time for Yahoo to debut Yahoo Deals, a new bargain site that will offer clothing, electronics, software and more.

It won’t just be off-brand merchandise, either. Yahoo has signed up major names like Apple, Nike and the Gap for their site, along with other online retailers Amazon and Woot, according to Vnunet.

Yahoo shopping general manager Greg Hintz said:

"When we saw the economy slowing over the last few months, we decided to pull together a site designed to help you save money."
