The next generation Sirius satellite radio kits for the car and home will be sold at Wal-Mart under the Sanyo brand.
SIRIUS, a satellite radio provider known for delivering commercial-free music and sports programming to cars and homes across the country, announced that Sanyo has joined the roster of brands that manufacture SIRIUS satellite radios. The Sanyo CRSR-10 Plug & Play SIRIUS satellite radio system will arrive at Wal-Mart stores this month.
The Sanyo CRSR-10 is the first SIRIUS Plug & Play satellite radio system to include both home and car kits in one package. The CRSR-10 includes the SIRIUS receiver, mounts, antennas, and car and home power supply options for the suggested retail price of $149.99. The satellite radio system incorporates the latest SIRIUS developments, including smaller size, large 6-line display, mini antenna and more. Subscribers can customize the color of their Sanyo unit with chrome, black or blue supplied faceplates.
"We welcome Sanyo to the great family of brands that make SIRIUS satellite radios," said Joseph P. Clayton, Chief Executive Officer of SIRIUS. "Consumers recognize the quality and reliability associated with the Sanyo brand, and they'll be getting a great deal with this new package that includes both car and home kits."
All SIRIUS satellite radios can tune to over 120 channels of commercial-free music, sports play-by-play featuring the nation's top colleges and the NFL, as well as news, talk, comedy and information programming. The entire slate of SIRIUS programming — including free Internet streaming of 65 commercial-free music channels — is available for just $12.95 per month, with discounts for subscriptions of a year or more.
