Verizon, Yahoo Launch Verizon Yahoo for DSL

Two companies team to bring co-branded broadband DSL service featuring Yahoo services to 28 states and the District of Columbia.
Verizon and Yahoo today announced they would begin offering a fully integrated DSL service in 28 states and the District of Columbia. The service, to be called Verizon Yahoo! for DSL, offers a range of broadband speeds and a variety of premium Yahoo features.
The new service, according to Verizon and Yahoo, will become the default choice for all new Verizon DSL customers. Yahoo features which will be offered under it include a security software suite, nine Yahoo Mail accounts, unlimited photo storage through Yahoo Photos and more.
"Our alliance with Yahoo! is great news for consumers, because Verizon Yahoo! for DSL includes premium content and features that would cost up to $200 a year if purchased separately," said Bob Ingalls, president of Verizon's Retail Markets Group. "We're excited to offer our subscribers a choice of premium online experiences that now includes industry-leading Internet services from Yahoo!"
