The PMP 4000 and PMP 7000 sport 4" and 7" screens respectively and each have a 20GB hard drive for storing videos, audio and digital photos.
Consumer electronics company CyberHome Entertainment last week announced two new portable media players designed to play videos and music. The PMP 4000 is priced at $399 and expected to be available in January. No release or pricing information was given about the other unit. The PMP 4000 and PMP 7000 are 4" and 7" portable media players which each have a 20GB hard drive. They are designed to play and display audio, video and photo files of the MP3, WMA, MPEG 4, DivX, XviD, WMV, JPEG and BMP types. Features on these two players include HD video output up to 1080i resolution, 16:9 wide screen display mode, built-in stereo speakers, in line recording and multi-format memory card support. "Usually when someone talks about Personal Media Players, one tends to think small, low-resolution screens and horrible output quality. We pretty much put an end to that myth with the PMP 4000 & 7000." commented Irwin Yuen, Product Director for CyberHome. "We've succeeded in putting together what could arguably be the best Personal Media Players— feature for feature — in the market today. These products offer exceptional video quality and an external component output that will drive a high definition monitor at 1080i with no problem",

I think it is great that Cyberhome is branching out into this exciting type of product. I have several of their items that I purchased from Home Shopping and I am happy with all of them, they are well thought out, have great value for the money and are easy to use. I also like how they present them on TV with their expert Alex and he gives you great new ideas on how to use them. I am looking forward to seeing these soon and finding out exactly how they work.

Tantrum, at the time when "companies with name" are not able to keep the pace of technology, or waste their time implementing stupid features that rather prevent people from using their devices (1st among them seems to me *O*Y these days), it is good that others are able to deliver. BTW, Cyberhome has already proved to be a major player in the DVD market. They have a range of excellent products, I had bought some and will continue buying them.

Looks boring to me. Why do these no name companies even try to make products if they are going to look cheap.
