Lexar showcases two new USB flash drives at CES 2006.

Lexar Media was showcasing two new high performance USB flash drives at CES 2006 earlier this month in Las Vegas. These two drives are the integrated capacity meter equipped JumpDrive Mercury and the compact JumpDrive Fly.

The JumpDrive Mercury, which will be available in 1GB and 2GB storage sizes, sports an integrated capacity meter powered by technology from E Ink Corporation. This onboard meter shows users how much storage space is left on the USB flash drive without needing to connect the drive to a computer.

Joining the JumpDrive Mercury was the JumpDrive FireFly. This USB drive, available in 256MB, 512MB and 1GB storage capacities, comes in a "super compact" size and is reportedly one of the smallest flash drives available.
