Employees Get RFID Chips For Security

February 14, 2006 | by Vincent Veneziani

Two employees at CityWatcher.com gain access to a secure vault with their new RFID implants. CEO says no need to worry about privacy.

Employees at a surveillance equipment company have voluntarily agreed to have RFID chips implanted in their forearm. The company is trying to send a message that RFID can indeed be used as a decent security method. The two employees who volunteered for the chip implant have access to a vault containing data and images from cameras the company has installed. CityWatcher.com has contracts with six cities to provide cameras and Internet monitoring of high-crime areas. Thus, anyone who gained access to the vault would be in reach of extremely confidential and private material.

None of the employees are being forced to get the chip implanted says CEO Sean Darks. "I have one," he said. "I'm not going to ask somebody to do something I wouldn't do myself. None of my employees are forced to get the chip to keep their job." The RFID chips are about the size of a grain of rice and cannot be felt once implanted into the human body. This is the first case of workers getting RFID chips in the United States. Workers concerned about privacy should not worry either. "It's a passive chip. It emits no signal whatsoever," Darks said. "It's the same thing as a keycard" says Darks. RFID has yet to be implemented into any real security devices currently, but has a bright future despite concerns among privacy advocates.

This is the beginnig of the endfor humans
The chip can be read anywhere there is a reader. all personal info can be input in it including any kind of comments and parogramming.
This is BS propaganda. It does not emit a radio signal, but once a signal is broadcast at it , it is powered and returns a radio signal.
eventually empolyers will favour applicants who are willing and eventually it will become like bank cards, you will have to do it or you cannot survive.

I will die first before I allow this and I guess I will have to.
How many years? months ? do I have yet to live?

Yeah , nobody is "forced to" but he will start hiring discriminating against those who do not want to be tagged like dogs. Then eventually everyone will "have to" although no one will be "forced to".

Eventually all personal info, banking etc will be on the RFID and it CAN be read anywhere there is a reader, so a person CAN be tracked.

Furthermore , it emits no radio signal, but the news author didn't tell people that when a radio signal is aimed at it , it uses the power of the radio signal to RETURN a radio signal.

I.E.it uses the power of signals aimed at it.
