The Logitech MX610 is designed with left-handed users in mind and comes with ten buttons, including two special buttons which glow when email and instant messages are received.
Computer accessories company Logitech last week unveiled a new cordless laser mouse targeted towards left-handed computer users. The new Logitech MX610 Left-Hand Laser Cordless Mouse is priced at $59.99 and will become available in early April.
The Logitech MX610, the company said, is sculpted to fit the left hand and has contoured thumb and pinky-finger soft-touch grips. Features of this wireless mouse include ten buttons with two special email and instant messaging buttons which illuminate when new messages are received in compatible applications, a scroll wheel which also helps zoom in and out of images, laser light tracking and a wireless range of up to 30 feet via a 2.4 Ghz USB micro receiver.
"The MX610 Left-Hand Laser Cordless Mouse is now my mouse of choice," said Logitech president and chief executive officer Guerrino De Luca in a statement. "With people spending more time using a personal computer as they work, communicate and play, the comfort of a mouse has become increasingly important. Left-handers havenīt had great mouse choices until now. This new mouse allows them to take advantage of the same advanced Logitech mouse technologies as our right-handed customers, while using their favored hand to make computer navigation more efficient and their experience richer."
