CyberHome Delivers New PMPs

The PMP 4000 and PMP 7000 sport 4" and 7" screens respectively and each have a 20GB hard drive for storing videos, audio and digital photos.

Consumer electronics company CyberHome Entertainment last week announced two new portable media players designed to play videos and music. The PMP 4000 is priced at $399 and expected to be available in January. No release or pricing information was given about the other unit.

The PMP 4000 and PMP 7000 are 4" and 7" portable media players which each have a 20GB hard drive. They are designed to play and display audio, video and photo files of the MP3, WMA, MPEG 4, DivX, XviD, WMV, JPEG and BMP types. Features on these two players include HD video output up to 1080i resolution, 16:9 wide screen display mode, built-in stereo speakers, in line recording and multi-format memory card support.
