Parrot showcases two new after market Bluetooth automotive products for GPS and car stereo devices.

Bluetooth after market automotive technology specialist Parrot was showing off some new products at CES 2006 earlier this month designed to bridge the gap between Bluetooth and other automotive technologies. These new devices include a GPS unit and a stereo receiver.

Parrot's new 3400 LS-GPS kit combines a Bluetooth hands-free kit a color LCD screen and GPS antenna and is used in conjunction with a smartphone or PDA with mapping software. It sends the vehicle's position to one of the previously mentioned devices and is compatible with most navigation software. Audio directions are heard through the car's speakers and the color screen of the 3400 LS-GPS displays phonebook information as well as caller ID by phone number and name.

Also on Parrot's 2006 launch schedule is the Rhythm N'Blue AM/FM/CD/MP3 car stereo receiver. This unit allows listeners the ability to listen to music and flip to phone mode, pairing with most Bluetooth enabled phones so that drivers can make calls, take calls and access their address book hands-free via voice recognition technology. The faceplate of the Rhythm N'Blue is detachable and features an integrated telephone keypad with controls phone functions as well as radio station presets.
